DJ Anthony

Buffalo radio legend

A familiar voice

The soundtrack to a generation of Buffalo nights.

If you grew up in Western New York, you grew up with DJ Anthony. He spent more than two decades hosting the nighttime show on Kiss 98.5, the city's number one hit-music station, becoming a fixture for an entire generation of Buffalo teens and the families who listened along.

That kind of trust is not built overnight. It is built one night at a time, by showing up, being real, and caring about the people on the other side of the speaker. It is exactly why he fits so well with how we do things at Willoughby.

Giving back to Buffalo

The face of Bald for Bucks.

For more than a decade, DJ Anthony has been a champion of Goin' Bald for Bucks, the Western New York fundraiser that shaves heads to raise money for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. He returns year after year to his alma mater, Lake Shore High School, and lends his voice across schools all over the region.

It is personal for him. He was inspired by a close friend who battled cancer, and he has carried that cause ever since. He grew up as a foster kid in Western New York, and he has spent his career giving back to the community that raised him.

DJ Anthony & Willoughby

Two things Buffalo can count on.

A familiar local voice and a 70-year family agency that shows up when nobody else will. When DJ Anthony says "Willoughby will when nobody will," he means it, because it is the same promise he has lived on the air and in the community for decades.
